Career Summary:

Allen Rogers excelled in every employment position he held:

  • Four years in the US Marine Corps as an aircraft electrician and was the Honor Graduate of his class. 
  • Six years in the US Army as an Electronics Maintenance Officer and  was the      Distinguished Graduate of the 1975 “Electronics Maintenance Officer Course”.   Allen also taught a course in basic electronics to a class of maintenance officers in Ft. Gordon, GA. 
  • After completing his Bachelor’s Degree at the U. of Maryland, during his 10 years in the military, he worked for Reynolds Metals Company in Longview, Washington, where he designed several “First in the Industry” projects and increased production machinery throughput and uptime. 
  • As the Senior Project Engineer/Plant Electrical Engineer at James River/Graphic Packaging, Allen redesigned the motor drives and controls for virtually every production line in the plant. These design changes resulted in large improvements in production through-put and reduced downtime.   Allen developed new Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures, guides, documentation and training, which reduced the number and severity of injuries. The plant is still using the system he developed and is now at a four year record of zero injuries. 
  • Allen has developed several PowerPoint slide presentations on Troubleshooting Basics for maintenance personnel, as well as other classes on instrumentation, controls, PID loops, etc.  He has presented these classes to several companies in Washington, Oregon and California.
